    when does a round end?

    Every UTC hour is a round. Yaps posted between 16:00 and 16:59 UTC belong to the 16:00 round. Each yap keeps its full 60 minute peak window, so the round goes final once the last yap's window closes, at most 60 minutes after the hour ends.

    how is the peak measured?

    Our server checks market cap every minute from DexScreener, with Jupiter as backup. A peak counts once the coin holds it for two checks in a row, so a one-candle wick or a pump-and-dump does not score. Your locked mc comes from our server the moment you sign, not from your browser.

    how is the pot split?

    Top 10 by points split it by weight. If you have 5 of the top 10's 20 points, you get 25%. Ties break by best multiple, then by who yapped first. Zero points means zero share. When the round goes final the treasury sends that hour's pot in one Solana transaction.

    where does the pot come from?

    $YAP creator fees go straight to the treasury wallet. Every hour that whole pot gets split to the top yappers — no max. More volume = bigger pot.

    do I have to keep holding?

    Yes. When payout runs, each winner needs at least half of the $YAP they held when they yapped. Dump your bag and your share goes to the other winners.

    can I yap from my phone?

    Yes. Open yapcoin.cash inside the Phantom app (tap the browser tab in Phantom). Tapping connect on a phone browser without Phantom opens it there for you.

    why do I need $YAP to yap?

    Callers should have skin in the game. Hold a little $YAP to unlock 1 yap an hour. Stack more and you unlock up to 5. Dust bags sit out.

    why do I have to connect Phantom?

    So nobody can paste a random whale wallet and farm points under it. You sign every yap. Payouts go to the wallet that signed.

    can someone just use 9 wallets?

    Each wallet needs its own $YAP bag and a signature. Each connection is also capped at 5 yaps per hour. Farming many wallets means buying many bags.
